Actually, I draw, ink, and gouache illuminated letters, which I am now starting to reformat and print out into bookplates, and sell. My first one is up, and I am all excited!

That's my shop page, and the only item currently up is my first bookplate. I'm making another that looks just like my Etsy avatar, though (the octopus/kraken thing), and I have more planned.

Even if you don't have the money or inclination to buy any, I'd love to hear peoples' thoughts, and also I'd love it if you forwarded this on to anyone you thought might be interested. (Thistle's gotta get herself through grad school, or at least break even on those ink cartridges.)

I'm a lover for old fashioned illumination and just general old fashioned art, it's a nice refreshing break from wolves and scene kids with colours so bright you think you'll be seeing neon four ways into Tuesday. I personally love the simplicity of it, the traditional aspect of it. I'm very much a traditional artist, digital art is nice in it's own way, but you can't beat the simple pleasures of mixing paints, of smudging pastels and getting absolutely clattered in paint. Digital artists ain't know what they're missing (;

I personally think the colours are lovely, and it just looks so simply beautiful. The grass is to die for, it's just *melt*

Yeah. I mean, digital art is fun, too. But for my happy times, I do traditional, stuff-on-paper art. I'm going to put up another one on the shop today, I think, schedule allowing, and I'll post it here, too.

Well, it's not ALL mythical/fairytale-ish, but I certainly have a soft spot there. And don't worry, I'm almost sure to do a fox. I am quite fond of them. I need to figure out a good, dynamic way to depict it....in the mean time, I'll produce the ones I have layout ideas for, and keep brainstorming on said foxy.

Also probably a crow. I like crows. And I already have an R, so I'll hold off on raven. And one with pumpkins, I love pumpkins. And maybe some deer. *storm in the brain*
